01 Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) establishes the rules governing the appropriate use of Before the Call (“B4C”) and related services provided by Big Bull Technologies, LLC (“Big Bull Technologies,” “BBT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

The purpose of this Policy is to protect the security, reliability, and integrity of the Services while helping ensure that all customers can use the platform safely and responsibly.

This Policy forms part of the Terms of Service.

02 Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • All Customers
  • Department Administrators
  • Authorized Users
  • Trial users
  • Anyone accessing or using the Services on behalf of a Customer

Every user is responsible for complying with this Policy.

Department Administrators are responsible for ensuring Authorized Users understand and comply with these requirements.

03 Intended Use

Before the Call is designed to support the administrative operations of first responder organizations.

Examples of appropriate use include:

  • Managing department administration
  • Organizing meetings
  • Maintaining attendance records
  • Managing training documentation
  • Organizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Planning recruitment activities
  • Planning fundraising initiatives
  • Managing administrative calendars
  • Creating administrative reports
  • Organizing department communications
  • Managing organizational documents

Use of the platform should remain consistent with its intended administrative purpose.

04 Prohibited Uses

Users may not use Before the Call to:

Illegal Activities

  • Violate any applicable local, state, federal, or international law.
  • Promote or facilitate unlawful conduct.
  • Submit fraudulent or knowingly false information.

Unauthorized Access

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account.
  • Circumvent authentication or security controls.
  • Share login credentials in an unauthorized manner.
  • Access information belonging to another Customer without authorization.

Platform Abuse

  • Attempt to disrupt platform availability.
  • Interfere with normal platform operations.
  • Introduce malware, ransomware, viruses, or other malicious code.
  • Perform denial-of-service attacks.
  • Abuse APIs or automated processes in a manner that negatively affects the Services.

Misrepresentation

  • Impersonate another individual.
  • Misrepresent organizational authority.
  • Falsify department records.
  • Submit misleading administrative information intended to deceive others.

Intellectual Property Violations

Users may not upload, distribute, or use content that infringes another party’s intellectual property rights.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any content uploaded into the platform.

Reverse Engineering

Except where expressly permitted by applicable law, users may not:

  • Reverse engineer
  • Decompile
  • Disassemble
  • Copy
  • Modify
  • Create derivative works from
  • Attempt to discover the source code of

— Before the Call or its underlying software.

05 Operational Limitations

Before the Call is not intended to support emergency response operations.

Users shall not use the platform as a substitute for systems designed for:

  • Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD)
  • Emergency dispatch
  • Incident management
  • Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Electronic Patient Care Reporting (ePCR)
  • Active emergency communications
  • Real-time operational decision-making

Administrative records related to department operations are appropriate. Live emergency operations are outside the intended scope of the platform.

06 Appropriate Content

Users are responsible for the information they create, upload, or share through Before the Call.

Content should:

  • Be accurate to the best of the user’s knowledge.
  • Be appropriate for administrative purposes.
  • Respect applicable laws.
  • Respect the rights of others.
  • Support legitimate organizational activities.

07 Inappropriate Content

Users may not knowingly upload or distribute content that:

  • Is unlawful.
  • Contains malicious software.
  • Promotes violence or criminal activity.
  • Harasses or threatens individuals.
  • Contains discriminatory or hateful material.
  • Infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Violates another person’s privacy.
  • Contains spam or deceptive content.
  • Is unrelated to legitimate organizational use of the platform.

08 Artificial Intelligence

AI-assisted features are intended to improve administrative productivity.

Users remain responsible for:

  • Reviewing AI-generated content.
  • Verifying factual accuracy.
  • Ensuring organizational policies are followed.
  • Confirming compliance with applicable laws and regulations before relying upon AI-generated material.

AI-generated output should not be treated as legal, operational, financial, medical, or emergency response advice.

09 Security Responsibilities

Users should:

  • Protect account credentials.
  • Use strong passwords.
  • Report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
  • Log out of shared devices.
  • Maintain appropriate access controls within their organization.

Department Administrators should regularly review user permissions and remove access for individuals who no longer require it.

10 Monitoring & Enforcement

Big Bull Technologies may investigate suspected violations of this Policy when reasonably necessary to:

  • Protect platform security.
  • Protect Customers.
  • Investigate abuse.
  • Comply with applicable law.
  • Preserve the integrity of the Services.

Investigations will be conducted in a manner reasonably appropriate to the circumstances.

11 Violations

Violations of this Policy may result in actions including:

  • Warning notices.
  • Temporary feature restrictions.
  • Suspension of user accounts.
  • Suspension of Customer accounts.
  • Termination of Services.
  • Referral to appropriate legal authorities when required by law.

Whenever practical, Big Bull Technologies will attempt to notify Customers and provide an opportunity to resolve violations before taking permanent action.

Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect the platform, Customers, or the public.

12 Reporting Concerns

Customers who become aware of suspected misuse, security concerns, unauthorized access, or violations of this Policy should notify Big Bull Technologies at ashlea@bigbulltech.io.

Prompt reporting helps us protect all users of the platform.

13 Changes to This Policy

Big Bull Technologies may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, legal requirements, or operational practices.

Material changes will become effective on the published Effective Date after reasonable notice has been provided.

Continued use of the Services following the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
