02 Defined Terms

Administrative Intelligence

Administrative Intelligence refers to the use of artificial intelligence within Before the Call to assist with administrative tasks such as organizing information, drafting documents, summarizing content, generating recommendations, and improving administrative workflows.

Administrative Intelligence is intended to assist users and does not replace human review, judgment, or decision-making.

Administrative Record

An Administrative Record is information created, uploaded, generated, or maintained within Before the Call for administrative purposes.

Examples include meeting minutes, attendance records, policies, training documentation, recruitment information, planning documents, and organizational records.

Administrative Records do not include emergency response records or patient care documentation.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to software capabilities that assist users by generating, organizing, summarizing, or analyzing administrative information.

AI within Before the Call is designed to support administrative productivity and is not intended to make operational, legal, personnel, or emergency response decisions.

Authorized User

An Authorized User is an individual who has been granted permission by a Department Administrator to access Before the Call.

Authorized Users may include department leadership, officers, administrative personnel, committee members, instructors, or other individuals approved by the Department.

Before the Call (B4C)

Before the Call (“B4C”) is the administrative operations platform developed and operated by Big Bull Technologies.

The platform is designed to support first responder organizations with administrative operations and organizational management.

Big Bull Technologies (BBT)

Big Bull Technologies, LLC (“BBT”) is the company responsible for developing, operating, maintaining, and supporting Before the Call.

Unless otherwise specified, references to “we,” “our,” or “us” within Trust Center documentation refer to Big Bull Technologies.

Customer

A Customer is the legal entity, organization, or department that has entered into an agreement to use Before the Call.

The Customer — not individual users — is generally responsible for managing its B4C account, user access, and organizational settings.

Department

A Department is the primary organizational entity within Before the Call.

Departments represent customer organizations such as volunteer fire departments, combination departments, career fire departments, emergency medical organizations, law enforcement agencies, or other first responder organizations authorized to use the platform.

Departments may manage one or more stations within a single administrative environment.

Department Administrator

A Department Administrator is an Authorized User who has been granted administrative authority over a Department’s B4C environment.

Department Administrators are responsible for managing users, permissions, department settings, and other administrative functions within the platform.

Member

A Member is an individual associated with a Department.

Members may include responders, officers, board members, instructors, support personnel, administrative staff, or other individuals recorded within the Department.

Membership within Before the Call does not imply employment status, certification status, or operational qualifications.

Organization

Organization is a general term referring to a customer entity using Before the Call.

Within most documentation, Organization and Department may be used interchangeably unless a distinction is specifically identified.

Platform

Platform refers collectively to the Before the Call software, associated services, websites, applications, documentation, and related technology provided by Big Bull Technologies.

Records

Records are the information created, uploaded, maintained, or stored by a Department within Before the Call.

Ownership of Department Records remains with the Customer, subject to applicable agreements and law.

Services

Services refers to the software, support, features, and related offerings provided by Big Bull Technologies under the Before the Call platform.

Station

A Station is an operational location managed by a Department.

Stations exist within a Department’s administrative structure and do not function as independent customer organizations.

Before the Call follows a department-first organizational model.

Trust Center

The Trust Center is the collection of official documentation published by Big Bull Technologies describing the operation, governance, security, privacy, legal policies, and administrative principles of Before the Call.

User

A User is any individual who accesses Before the Call using credentials issued through a Department.

All Users are expected to comply with applicable policies, agreements, and organizational requirements.

Vendor

A Vendor is a third-party organization that provides technology, infrastructure, payment processing, communication services, or other supporting services used by Before the Call.

Big Bull Technologies evaluates Vendors based on operational needs, security considerations, and business requirements.
