01 Purpose

Security is fundamental to the trust our Customers place in Before the Call (“B4C”).

This Security Overview describes the principles, practices, and responsibilities that guide how Big Bull Technologies, LLC (“Big Bull Technologies,” “BBT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) approaches the protection of our platform, Customer information, and supporting infrastructure.

This document provides a high-level overview of our security program and should be read alongside the other Trust Center documents.

02 Our Security Philosophy

Security is not a single feature.

It is an ongoing process of identifying risk, implementing safeguards, monitoring systems, improving controls, and responding responsibly when issues arise.

Our objective is to provide Customers with an administrative platform that is dependable, secure, and continuously improving.

Security considerations are incorporated throughout the product lifecycle rather than added only after development is complete.

03 Shared Responsibility

Protecting information is a shared responsibility.

Big Bull Technologies is responsible for

  • Operating and maintaining the B4C platform.
  • Protecting platform infrastructure.
  • Applying security updates.
  • Monitoring platform health.
  • Investigating security events.
  • Maintaining administrative safeguards.
  • Improving security controls over time.

Customers are responsible for

  • Protecting account credentials.
  • Managing Authorized Users.
  • Reviewing user permissions.
  • Maintaining secure devices.
  • Reporting suspected security concerns.
  • Using the platform in accordance with published policies.

Strong security depends on collaboration between both parties.

04 Administrative Scope

Before the Call is an administrative operations platform.

The platform is intentionally designed not to function as:

  • Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD)
  • Emergency dispatch
  • Incident management
  • Electronic Patient Care Reporting (ePCR)
  • Incident Command software
  • Emergency communications software

By maintaining this clear scope, we reduce operational complexity and focus our security efforts on administrative information and workflows.

05 Security Program

Our security program is built around multiple layers of protection.

These include administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to:

  • Protect Customer information.
  • Reduce unauthorized access.
  • Support platform reliability.
  • Monitor system health.
  • Improve resilience over time.

Security practices evolve as technology, threats, and customer needs change.

06 Platform Security

Big Bull Technologies works to protect the platform through practices such as:

  • Authentication controls
  • Access management
  • Encryption where appropriate
  • Secure software development practices
  • Infrastructure monitoring
  • Security updates
  • Vulnerability remediation
  • Logging and monitoring
  • Backup and recovery processes

For security reasons, we do not publicly disclose every technical safeguard implemented within our environment.

07 Customer Data

Customers retain ownership of the administrative information they create within Before the Call.

Big Bull Technologies processes Customer Data only as necessary to:

  • Provide the Services.
  • Maintain the platform.
  • Improve platform functionality.
  • Protect security.
  • Meet legal obligations.
  • Support Customers.

Customer information is not sold.

Additional information is available in the Data Ownership Policy.

08 Artificial Intelligence

Certain features within Before the Call use artificial intelligence to assist with administrative tasks.

AI features are designed to improve productivity — not replace human judgment.

Customers remain responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying upon it for official use.

Additional information is available in the Administrative Intelligence & AI Policy.

09 Third-Party Providers

Big Bull Technologies works with trusted third-party providers for services such as:

  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Authentication
  • Payment processing
  • Communications
  • Platform monitoring
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Customer support

Technology partners are selected based on operational, security, and business considerations.

The use of third-party providers does not transfer responsibility for protecting the overall security of the platform.

10 Incident Response

Despite reasonable safeguards, no technology environment can eliminate every security risk.

If a security incident occurs, Big Bull Technologies will investigate the event, take reasonable steps to contain and address the issue, and provide notifications where required by law or contractual obligation.

Additional information is available in the Incident Response Overview.

11 Continuous Improvement

Security is continually evaluated.

Big Bull Technologies regularly reviews opportunities to improve:

  • Platform architecture
  • Administrative safeguards
  • Monitoring capabilities
  • Authentication methods
  • Infrastructure resilience
  • Documentation
  • Security awareness
  • Customer guidance

As our platform evolves, so will our security program.

12 Customer Responsibilities

Customers play an important role in protecting their own information.

We encourage Customers to:

  • Use strong passwords.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication when available.
  • Review user permissions regularly.
  • Remove inactive accounts promptly.
  • Keep browsers and devices updated.
  • Report suspected security concerns immediately.
  • Review Trust Center documentation periodically.

Good security begins with good administrative practices.

13 Security Questions

Customers may submit reasonable security-related questions to Big Bull Technologies.

For the protection of all Customers, we may decline requests that would require disclosure of confidential security controls, infrastructure details, or information that could increase security risk.
