01 Introduction

Welcome to Before the Call (“B4C”), an administrative operations platform provided by Big Bull Technologies, LLC (“Big Bull Technologies,” “BBT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Before the Call, including our websites, applications, software, documentation, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, accessing the Services, or using Before the Call, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a department, municipality, company, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.

02 Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.

If you are accessing the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on that organization’s behalf.

03 Our Services

Before the Call is designed to assist first responder organizations with administrative operations.

Depending on your subscription and available features, the Services may include tools for:

  • Department administration
  • Training administration
  • Meeting management
  • Attendance tracking
  • Document management
  • Recruitment planning
  • Fundraising planning
  • Administrative communications
  • Organizational planning
  • Administrative reporting
  • AI-assisted administrative productivity

Features may change over time as the platform evolves.

Use of certain mobile features may require device permissions, including notifications and optional location services. Additional information is available in the Trust Center.

04 Platform Scope

Before the Call is not an emergency response platform.

The Services are not intended to provide:

  • Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD)
  • Emergency dispatch
  • Incident management
  • Emergency communications
  • Patient care documentation
  • Electronic Patient Care Reporting (ePCR)
  • Incident Command System (ICS) functionality
  • Real-time operational decision support

Customers remain solely responsible for operational emergency response activities and for selecting appropriate operational software.

05 Customer Accounts

Customers are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate account information.
  • Protecting account credentials.
  • Managing Authorized Users.
  • Promptly notifying BBT of suspected unauthorized access.
  • Ensuring Authorized Users comply with these Terms.

Customers remain responsible for activity occurring under their accounts unless caused by BBT’s unauthorized actions or negligence.

06 Acceptable Use

Customers and Authorized Users agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful purposes.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform.
  • Interfere with platform security or availability.
  • Upload malicious software.
  • Misrepresent identities or affiliations.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the Services except where prohibited by applicable law.
  • Use the Services to violate another person’s legal rights.
  • Use the Services in support of emergency dispatch or active incident management.

07 Artificial Intelligence

Certain features may use artificial intelligence to assist with administrative tasks.

AI-generated content should always be reviewed by the Customer before being relied upon for official use. Customers remain responsible for decisions, records, communications, and actions taken based on AI-assisted content.

Big Bull Technologies does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated output for any particular purpose.

08 Customer Data

Customers retain ownership of the administrative information they submit to Before the Call.

By using the Services, Customers grant Big Bull Technologies the limited rights necessary to host, process, store, transmit, back up, and display Customer Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Services, complying with legal obligations, maintaining security, preventing abuse, and fulfilling customer requests.

Big Bull Technologies does not acquire ownership of Customer Data through use of the Services.

09 Service Availability

Big Bull Technologies strives to provide reliable Services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The Services may occasionally be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Security updates
  • Infrastructure issues
  • Third-party service interruptions
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We will make reasonable efforts to minimize unnecessary disruptions.

10 Intellectual Property

Before the Call, including its software, branding, documentation, logos, graphics, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to Big Bull Technologies and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, Customers may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Services.

Customer Data remains the property of the Customer.

11 Subscription & Fees

Certain features of the Services may require a paid subscription.

Pricing, billing frequency, and applicable fees are described in the Customer’s order, subscription agreement, invoice, or pricing page in effect at the time of purchase.

Failure to pay applicable fees may result in suspension or termination of access to paid Services after reasonable notice, unless prohibited by law or otherwise agreed in writing.

12 Suspension & Termination

Big Bull Technologies may suspend or terminate access to the Services if:

  • These Terms are materially violated.
  • Required fees remain unpaid.
  • Continued access creates a security risk.
  • Continued access would violate applicable law.
  • Fraudulent or abusive activity is reasonably suspected.

Where practical, BBT will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue before suspension or termination.

Customers may discontinue use of the Services at any time, subject to any applicable subscription commitments.

13 Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law or an executed written agreement.

While Big Bull Technologies works to provide reliable administrative software, we do not warrant that:

  • The Services will be uninterrupted.
  • The Services will be error free.
  • Every feature will meet every Customer’s needs.
  • AI-generated content will always be accurate.

Customers are responsible for reviewing administrative records before relying upon them.

14 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Big Bull Technologies shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the use of the Services.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

15 Indemnification

Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Big Bull Technologies, its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from:

  • Customer misuse of the Services.
  • Violation of these Terms.
  • Violation of applicable law by the Customer.
  • Infringement of third-party rights resulting from Customer Data or Customer conduct.

This obligation does not apply to claims arising from Big Bull Technologies’ own negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of law.

16 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Venue for disputes shall lie in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Texas, unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in writing.

17 Changes to These Terms

Big Bull Technologies may update these Terms periodically.

When material changes are made, we will provide reasonable notice through the Services, our website, email, or another appropriate method.

Continued use of the Services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
